Victoria Arlen - Founder / Co-ChAIR
Victoria Arlen, Founder of Victoria's Victory Foundation is on a mission to help other's. By founding Victoria's Victory Foundation she wants to provide assistance to help people achieve their own personal victory. While Victoria was living in a physical vegetative state, her mind was very much alive; at that time she made a commitment that if she got her second chance, she would dedicate her life to helping other's. As a young woman that trained and worked endless hours to overcome her obstacles with the support of her family and those close to her, she realized the importance of a strong foundation of support and being surrounded by those that believe in you. Victoria has started Victoria's Victory Foundation as a way to provide other's with their own support system so they too can achieve their victory.
Jacqueline Arlen - CHAIR
Jacqueline Arlen is Victoria's mother and the owner of Project Walk Boston. Project Walk Boston is an activity based recovery center for people with any mobility related disorders and is based in Stratham, NH. This was a calling put on her heart not only for her daughter but for others who could greatly benefit from activity based therapy. Early on in their journey the Arlen family saw an incredible need for support for individuals within this population not only physically but emotionally. They have planned and spoken about starting a foundation in Victoria's name for years. This is truly a dream come true and an answer to prayer.
Mark A. Clausen, CPA, MST - Treasurer
Mark is the President and owner of Clausen & Company, CPA’s, PC located in Southborough, MA. Mark has practiced public accounting since 1978. He serves as the treasurer of Variety, The Children’s Charity of New England since 1990 and sits on various other non-profit boards.
He has been married to Kathy Clausen for 41 years with one son Tyler. Mark's favorite things to do include spending time with family and friends, hiking, boating and rooting for the Red Sox and Patriots..
Angela Garcia - SECRETARY
Angela Garcia is a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine. She owns AG Fitness, a functional fitness center and training studio in Stratham, New Hampshire. She has the honor of training a wide variety of clients, from post-rehab, geriatric and chronic illness patients, to recreational athletes, competitive athletes and Olympians. Her passion for this work is fueled by the deep belief that movement and exercise improves quality of life in everyBODY, in more ways than just the traditionally accepted physical benefits. Her life's work is to guide and accompany others on their unique journeys to live their very best lives.
Karrie Eaton - Director
Karrie Eaton has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing and creative field, specializing in the nonprofit sector. Like her fellow Victoria's Victory Foundation Board Members, she is inspired by Victoria Arlen’s journey and is passionate about helping others. She is always ready to embrace a challenge, and in her role as Vice President of Marketing for Granite United Way, she recognizes the importance of working together to improve lives in our community. Karrie resides in Kingston with her husband, Chris, their two daughters, Jenna and Kate, and their golden retriever, Cheddar.
Dawn MacArthur - Director
Dawn is the proud mother of two adult sons and resides in Greenland, N.H. with her husband Rob and two rescued Shih Tzu dogs.
Dawn has always felt the need to give back to her community and has been blessed to be able to do so. She has shared her time supporting family members, volunteering with the local schools, youth sports teams, community based charity organizations and church.
Faced with multiple health challenges over the years, Dawn lives by the philosophy that through faith, love and positivity all things are possible.
Dawn is honored to be a part of the Victoria’s Victory Foundation team and looks forward to helping people around the world achieve their own victories.
JIM O’DONOGHUE - DIRECTOR
Jim is President and Founder of Compass Rose Private Investment Management in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. For the past twenty years he has been a devoted Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager. His passion is to exceed the initial expectations of individual clients, families, small businesses, and non-profit institutions.
Jim began his career at Boston University where he served as Director of Budget and Fiscal Planning. In that position, Jim also was instrumental in launching the Huntington Theatre in Boston and ran the public radio station WBUR for a short period of time. In the 1980s, Jim was Director of Planning and Coordination for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, where he was responsible for planning and budgeting for the Boston Harbor Clean Up Project. Along the way, Jim earned a Ph.D. in Finance and Economics at New York University.
Jim lives in Rye, NH with his wife, Roxanne, and their two very friendly golden retrievers, Molly and Maggie. They have two adult children and five grandchildren! Jim is an active uncle and grandfather, a wicked Boston sports fan, a struggling but improving golfer, and a newly certified scuba diver.
LINDA PHAN - DIRECTOR
Based in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Linda is Creative Director at Scott Brothers Entertainment and has appeared in television and digital series for HGTV and TLC.
Linda’s work is inspired by people and places encountered while traveling. Whether she is working on a craft project, developing digital content or planning events for women in local communities, her philosophy is to infuse purpose and play into the everyday.
Linda is passionate about giving back with a focus on the arts, wellness and protecting the planet. Past projects include events, galas and campaigns that raised funds and/or awareness for Me to We, Artists for Peace and Justice, young filmmakers at the Toronto International Film Festival, World Vision, and David Suzuki Foundation.
Susan Stover - Executive Director
Susan owns and operated a successful consulting business specializing in non-profit fundraising and event management. As the founder of Stover Solutions, she helped multiple non-profits develop new programs, expand their marketing presence and increase their fundraising efforts.
Prior to starting her own company, Susan was an accomplished sales, marketing and event professional with expertise in advanced digital advertising. Susan has an extensive marketing and promotions background working with national brands, television and film talent, professional athletes, and large corporations.
When Susan is not behind her computer, you can find her teaching barre classes; she is an IBBFA certified barre instructor with a classical ballet background. Susan is the wife of a local business owner and mother of two boys.
Susan is a board member for Connor's Climb Foundation, volunteers for End 68 Hours of Hunger and is honored to be the foundation's Executive Director to bring the mission to life.
LINDSAY DOBECKI - FOUNDATION FACILITATOR
Lindsay found her passion for nonprofit work during her time as an undergraduate student at Merrimack College. Since then, Lindsay has spent the past several years completing her education and receiving her Masters of Education in Community Engagement while simultaneously working for a variety of youth focused nonprofits. In the fall of 2017, Lindsay made the short move from Southern Maine to New Hampshire and now currently resides in Portsmouth. In her free time, she enjoys being outside and exploring New England as well as spending time with family & friends. Lindsay is honored to be a part of the VVF staff and to have the opportunity to help make a positive impact. This position is privately funded to allow for more dollars to be applied to the Victory Scholarship program.
BRANDON VILLENEUVE - Victory Ambassador
Brandon resides in the White Mountains of Northern New Hampshire. Motivated with kindness, joy, and optimism, his love for music, mountain sports and outdoor living shines through his personality. Brandon works part time for the Appalachian Mountain Club, and continues to manage his reputable career as a DJ and Master of Ceremonies.
Brandon trains weekly at Project Walk Boston, as well as twice a week at his local rehab facility. He continues to live an active lifestyle despite the challenges of living with a spinal cord injury. He is excited to participate and mentor others through the Victoria’s Victory Foundation.
PAIGE LOEW - Volunteer Ambassador
Paige moved to New Hampshire from Minnesota in September of 2017 and now resides in Kingston NH with her boyfriend Cam and dog Izzy. By day she works as a safety specialist for 3M and in her spare time she enjoys going to the lake, traveling hanging out with her dog and volunteering.
Paige has a passion for giving back to her community and helping others. She is not only is a volunteer for the Victoria’s Victory Foundation but also volunteers as a Big Sister through the Big Brother Big Sister organization.
